My Body is My Home

Home is a funny thing

It’s where you hang your hat

It’s where you make love

It’s where you bring your friends

It’s where you laugh

It’s where you cry

It’s where you sleep

It’s where you put your shoes

It’s where you house the things that matter.

My hat goes on my head.

My shoes go on my feet.

My body houses my knowledge.

So now I know

As long as I am alive,

I will never be homeless.

Because my body is my home.

It holds all my pieces.

It’s in good repair.

It does all the things that need doing (with my help)

I will always be thankful

For my home

For my body
