Our parents are simply the mechanism by which we enter this Earth plane. When we are very small, we need their approval. When we come of age we take control of our own destiny. Not in a rebellious way, but in the way we know to be true to our purpose.
When you are ready, let go of the need for approval from your biological parents, and find the approval of your divine mother and father.
