My hands are numb.
My toes are too.
My uterus is twisting
And I’m cursing you know who.
Anytime I couldn’t say no.
Has finally taken its toll.
Writhing in pain calling for help.
I feel pathetic.
It’s just a period.
It’s two and a half decades.
Of built up, twisting, vining, lost
That got confused
When I got used.

79% increased risk of endometriosis with severe physical and sexual abuse in childhood.
Even if we don’t remember the abuse, our bodies do. Mine reminds me every month with the severe, debilitating pain of endometriosis. No, I haven’t been to a medical doctor to get this confirmed. Why would I? So they can charge me outrageous amount of money to first invalidate me, and then practice a barbaric medieval surgery that I may have to repeat every four to five years. No. As each period gets more painful than the last, I decided to do some research. From underneath my hotpad with the old herbal folk remedy of some nettle and raspberry tea that helps alleviate the pain.
What I found was not surprising overall. There are many herbs that will work to cure this condition. I was surprised to find a paper from Iran with over 30 years of well-researched sources.
I have provided many links and papers with clear evidence of herbal remedies putting endometriosis in remission. After reading them, my plan of action is to take 30mL of Aloe Vera every morning. In the evening I’ll drink a tea containing cat’s claw, curcumin, and Copaifera langsdorffii for the endo. I think I’ll add some mugwort and holy basil to the mix as well, because mugwort helps with my mood and holy basil is shown to help the central nervous system recover from trauma.
Best of luck to you if you found this. I recommend reading some of these articles and making an educated decision for yourself. I am not a medical professional.
